BL Corporate & Investment Banking – "Deep Dive M&A – Financial Statement Analysis & Accounting"

The project includes a three-month mentoring period with the M&A team of the Group's Corporate & Investment Banking Business Line. Guided by the Managing Director and coordinated by the professional figures of the team, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to learn and see applied on a day-to-day basis the fundamental skills concerning financial modelling, business planning and corporate valuation. The candidate will also be involved in meetings and calls aimed at the most effective management of ongoing deals, also contributing to the development of business pitches to support the team's commercial presentations. The ultimate aim of the project is to convey the value of relationships in a highly quantitative sector such as that of the IB. Specifically, those who work in the M&A world, in fact, must have a strong customer orientation and the ability to build partnerships based on mutual esteem and trust. If not supported by these valuable soft skills, business modelling work, even if correct, can never be effective and bring results.

Proposal addressed to female students of Undergraduate and Graduate degree programmes. The activity will be recognized as a curricular internship.

Duration: 3 months – at the Milan office, Via F. Sassetti, 32.
Dates: from September to November 2024.

Issuance of Certificates by Banca Sella Holding

The female student will be included in the project team that aims to bring Banca Sella Holding to make a first issue of Certificates. This project, which will end in 2024 and is driven by Sella Treasury & Financial Markets, and it will bring many benefits to the group: the increase in funding sources, the elimination of structuring costs for the group (at the moment, the group relies on third-party banks for structuring and issuance) and consequently the improvement of pricing for customers. To make a significant contribution, the candidate must have good knowledge of the financial markets, mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong proactivity and resourcefulness combined with excellent analysis and synthesis skills. Through the support of experienced colleagues, the student will have the opportunity to learn in the field how to manage a complex project, the practical functioning of the Certificates market, both primary and secondary, the commercial and investment logics that guide the structuring of the payoff of the Certificates and the quantitative models for their pricing.

Rotating shadowing in the Treasury & Financial Markets area

The project consists of shadowing various professionals within the Treasury & Financial Markets business area, the area of Banca Sella Holding responsible for own-account trading, treasury activities, venture capital investments and minority shareholdings.

During the duration of the project, the student will work alongside different professionals, of varying seniority, within the area. In particular, we offer weekly coaching to 4 of these roles (to be decided on a case-by-case basis based on business availability and student interest):

• Responsible for trading desks.
• Junior Trader directly active on the financial markets.
• Quantitative Researcher active in the development of automated trading strategies.
• Head / Quant of the Innovation, Business Analysis & Controls desk.
• Treasury Operator.
• Venture Capital Portfolio Manager

Proposal addressed to female students of Graduate degree programmes. Participants will be awarded 1 supernumerary ECTS.
