The Graduate degree in European and International Policies aims to provide adequate cognitive tools, in a world in whirlwind transformation, to understand the plurality of political, economic, institutional and social phenomena that characterize the international system and that are characterized by an increasing systemic complexity. This objective requires a distinctly multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach in which economic, legal, political science, psycho-sociological and historical disciplines find space.

On the one hand, the Graduate degree consolidates the typical of the classical educational path of Political Science and International Relations, of which it takes up the founding characteristics and strengths; on the other hand, it represents the useful completion of other Undergraduate programmes of study focused on more circumscribed aspects of the international reality (economic, linguistic, historical-cultural dimensions).

From the academic year 2023/2024, for a limited number of students (maximum 12), it will be possible to attend an international training course in English called International Relations: People, Rights and Resources (PRR), which provides, within a predefined Erasmus mobility proposal, the first semester at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the second semester of the first year at UiS-Universitet i Stavanger (Norway) and the first second year semester at Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany).
More information can be found on the following page.

Teaching methodology

The programme allows the student, thanks to the multiple options between courses, to build a personalised training path capable of responding more closely to their personal interests and to deepen particular and specialised aspects of the multidimensional processes of change in the contemporary world, both with reference to European and global studies.
The degree programme also encourages participation in innovative educational paths, which stimulate collaborative competition among students, communication skills and peer-to-peer critical evaluation.
Particular attention is paid to the training of advanced and interdisciplinary professionals in international relations and related policies, institutions and organizations, both with reference to issues of general relevance, with reference to European integration processes, and with reference to specific problems typical of certain territorial or historical-institutional contexts. Care is also taken to provide students with advanced tools for the analysis of the transformations taking place in the international system and the consequences that this entails at national, European and global level. To ensure close contact with the world of professions, the degree programme has set up a Technical Committee with representatives of institutions and organizations active in the field of political, social and economic relations in the international context.
