What is the internship

The internship in a company is a training experience in a working area where the integration of knowledge, practice and personal skills is fundamental.

As interns, students have the opportunity to grow from a professional and personal point of view, that allows them to complete and enrich their CV, given that the internship is experienced by the students themselves as an important part of their studies.

How can I find a company where I can do the internship?

There are several ways to find a company willing to host you:

  • by filling out the internship application in April or October and waiting to be contacted if positions open up that match your interests
  • by asking the University Tutor Professor or the University Stage Tutor for support
  • by logging into the ST&P portal and browsing the "internship announcements" section
  • keeping track of periodic emails from the Stage & Placement Office with available offers

Is there an allowance for the curricular internship?

The participation allowance for the curricular internship is at the discretion of the host company, which is, however, not obligated to provide it.

New method of recording the credits for Internship activities

Starting from the autumn examination session in September 2021, curricular internship activities to which ECTS are assigned, are registered in the same manner as profit exams, so it is necessary to regularly enrol in the scheduled exam session for internship recording on the designated dates. Keep in mind that in order to record internship credits, it is necessary to first complete and fulfill all the requirements for the closure of the internship provided by your degree programme (more information available in the Internship Guidelines).

Internship verbalisation:

  • will not require you to be physically present, pass a test or submit a report. You will only need to register for the session at least four days before the scheduled date, and if all internship requirements are fulfilled, the verbalisation will occur automatically;
  • you will not receive any convocation (teams or otherwise) at the time of the verbalisation;
  • you will then find the approval of your internship in your academic records.

More detailed information will be provided by the University Stage Tutor close to the deadlines
