Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore introduces itself to high schools as the host of Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO) aimed at students enrolled in the last three years. There are two types of projects:

Didactic PCTOs: a series of lectures or laboratory activities dedicated to a topic or a disciplinary sector that the professors and researchers involved deal with in their respective courses and which, for the occasion, are "tailor-made" for students who experience university learning for the first time. How the courses are carried out varies according to the projects: some are delivered entirely in person, while others provide for an alternation of remote meetings and scheduled in-person meetings within the campus.

PCTO in the offices: an experience of collaboration with one of the University offices, of variable duration depending on the needs expressed by the school, which allows students to get to know the skills and professionalism required for the provision of the services offered by Università Cattolica and to develop the relational and communication skills necessary to operate within a complex organization. The activities offered to students are diversified depending on the destination office, which is chosen on the basis of the school career and personal inclinations of each student.
