In recent years, Python has established itself as the language of Data Science and Machine Learning. In this seminar, we will use a case study to demonstrate the potential of the technology. Using a prototype notebook, we will analyze the historical series of electricity demand in Italy and try to predict its evolution with a simple model. Then, we will apply some software engineering best practices to make the code modular and easily maintainable, giving a practical demonstration of some useful refactoring techniques.
