With reference to the educational path, it is structured in such a way as to allow the student to develop in the first part, i.e. in the first year of the programme, pedagogical skills related to special educational intervention and the helping relationship, psychological skills focused on individual and social aspects of personality and deviance, neuropsychiatric skills, historical skills concerning marginality and philosophy of the person. In the second part, i.e. in the second year of the programme, the student builds and develops methodological skills in group management, atypical developmental psychology, historical skills related to special education, sociology of inequalities and differences, as well as social legislation for marginality and disability.

There will be different teaching methods: frontal lectures in the classroom; reflection work in small or large groups, role playing, cooperative learning, research groups on specific topics, image teaching, case study, seminars with privileged witnesses, e-learning.

The following forms of verification will be envisaged: oral exams or written tests; practical laboratory tests; practical-operational simulations aimed at verifying learning; research papers, final written dissertation; professional internship experiences with periodic external and internal audits; role playing in small groups; Extended group work of reflection on the practical operational experience lived or seen.

The duration of the graduate degree is an additional two years after the undergraduate programme. To obtain the graduate degree, at least 120 university ECTS must be acquired. Each exam is awarded a certain number of ECTS, the same for all students and a grade (expressed in thirtieths) that varies according to the level of preparation.
