Graduates in Food Science and Technology carry out the following activities:

  • programming
  • management
  • control
  • coordination
  • formation

relating to:

  • Procurement of raw materials
  • management and control of  product quality and safety 
  • development of new products and processes
  • marketing of products.

Graduates interested in teaching will be able to access the following levels of training for the achievement of the qualification for secondary teaching.

Employment opportunities in private and public facilities are:

  • in the food industries and in all companies related to the production, processing, preservation and distribution of food products;
  • in large-scale retail companies;
  • in public and private bodies that carry out planning, analysis, control, certification activities, as well as in those that carry out scientific investigations for the protection and enhancement of food production;
  • in training and research institutions, in the offices and studios of the liberal professions;
  • the organization of the distribution systems of agri-food production and their rationalization;
  • the marketing of agri-food products;
  • entrepreneurship, consultancy and basic and applied research
