Credits

To obtain the graduate degree, at least 120 credits must be acquired. Each exam is awarded a given number of credits, the same for all students and a grade (expressed out of 30) that varies according to the level of preparation.

Study plan

The graduate degree programme in Linguistic Sciences is divided into a single curriculum: Applied linguistic sciences

The languages offered in the graduate degree are:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (the Chinese language is offered to students of all profiles of the graduate degree in Linguistic Sciences as long as they have selected this language  in the undergraduate degree programme)
  • French
  • English
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • German

The study plan is, in principle, organised on an epistemological core, which illustrates the characteristics of the discipline, and on the analysis of concrete application cases.

Specialisation credits will be acquired by students according to profiles.

The study plan includes the acquisition of:

  • 40 ECTS of Modern Languages
  • 4 ECTS of Educational Activities in the field of Semiotics, Linguistics and Computer Science
  • 12 ECTS of educational activities in the field of economic, legal, political, social and communication sciences

Professional profiles

As part of the optional training activities, which students must indicate when submitting their study plan, the Faculty has identified combinations of courses that allow the acquisition of credits in relation to the following professional profiles: International Management, Linguistic Sciences for International Relations, Media & Digital Management.

International management: third semester abroad

From the academic year 2023/2024, a predefined number of students of the "Management International" profile will be able to access a path that guarantees to carry out the third semester abroad at some universities belonging to the ISEP network.

A dedicated study plan is provided for these students.
