Objectives

The Graduate Degree Programme in Markets and Corporate Strategies belongs to class LM-77 in Economics and Business Sciences and aims to provide graduates with the following skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • ability to employ different perspectives and methodological approaches to market problems and business strategies, acquired through an interdisciplinary approach in the interpretation of contexts and problems;
  • knowledge of specialised techniques in the field of economics and business management, which allow to deal with the complex problems that characterise today's business management;
  • knowledge of the institutional issues and regulatory frameworks that affect the environment in which business activities and economic organisations are carried out;
  • ability to use quantitative tools to support decision-making, both statistical and econometric.

These objectives are achieved through a didactic course that provides a solid basic economic-business preparation, necessary to acquire the methods of analysis and methodological procedures typical of the managerial field, integrated with more distinctly professional skills, important to provide the student with a useful preparation for facing and managing consulting projects.

Didactics

The didactic path is carried out through lectures integrated with discussion of cases, testimonies and meetings with national and international managers, consultants and entrepreneurs, simulations, activations and projects aimed at developing the student's analytical and pragmatic skills.

The courses conclude with an assessment test, oral or written and/or of a design nature.

Finally, the didactic path includes the constant use of on-line platforms, where the student can find the supplementary teaching material and all the further references and contacts for the in-depth study of the content of the courses and for the preparation of exams.

Credits

The duration of the graduate degree is two years after the three-year undergraduate degree.
Each exam is awarded a certain number of credits, the same for all students and a grade (expressed in thirtieths) that varies according to the level of preparation. To obtain the graduate degree, at least 120 university credits (ECTS) must be acquired.
