The programme is characterised by a set of political, economic, sociological, legal and historical teachings that makes possible the scientific analysis of the complex issue of development from a perspective of effective solidarity and social justice. The aim is to prepare people who play active and responsible roles in the field of cooperation, giving them the opportunity to acquire important skills to know, understand and analyse national and international contexts, deepening the issues of development in relation to those of cooperation and the third sector.

To ensure close contact with the world of professions in the field of Cooperation, the graduate degree programme has set up a Technical Committee with representatives of institutions and organisations active in the sector, which includes, among others, their representatives: Acli - Ipsia, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, AVSI, Caritas, Celim, Cesi, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mlal, PIME, Sovereign Order of Malta, WeWorld GVC Onlus.
