Overview

The graduate degree programme in Scienze e tecniche del benessere e dello sport is mainly divided into courses in the medical, motor-adapted and sports fields and aims to offer an organic framework of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to the maintenance of health through movement and the practice of sporting activity throughout life. The student will be led to acquire a specific preparation concerning the fundamental dimensions of motor-sports disciplines, also taking into account the contribution of the bio-medical, pedagogical, psychological and sociological sciences. Particular attention is paid to gender specificities and the needs of people with disabilities.

The teaching includes theoretical and technical-practical lessons combined with individual exercises that utilise advanced tools for analysing physical fitness and training for sports and personal well-being. Internships and placements take place at affiliated sports facilities, specialising in preventive, post-rehabilitation, adaptive, and performance fields.

Starting from a common base of exams, the LM-67/LM-68 graduate degree programme includes two training paths that meet the requirements of both classes (Sciences and techniques of preventive and adapted motor activities/Sports sciences and techniques). Students must indicate the class in which they intend to earn their qualification at the time of enrolment. However, they may change their choice, provided it is finalised upon registration for the second year.
