The new course of study is designed in blended mode, also to encourage the enrolment of working students already engaged in welfare services or about to start the world of work.
Specifically, the blended formula translates into: between 40% and 50% of remote activities; between 50% and 60% of face-to-face teaching activities.
Each course included in the study plan is delivered according to the aforementioned subdivision, with the exception of internships and laboratories of the student's free choice, which will be carried out entirely in presence. For these workshops, students are required to attend 75% of the course.

The lectures that will be held in the classroom during the weeks of face-to-face activities, 6 for each semester, will be video-recorded and, starting from the academic year 2024/25, will remain available to the student for the following 7 days.

The distance mode is characterized by the provision of training content that can be used by students on demand, which will be delivered by the teacher in a-synchronous mode, to which is added a webinar in synchronous mode. The webinar will be videotaped and the video recording will be uploaded to Blackboard. All online content related to the remote activity weeks will remain available to students throughout the academic year until the end of the autumn exam session.

For the entire duration of the course, a high level of student-teacher interaction will be maintained in asynchronous and synchronous mode, also through the use of dedicated methodologies and tools and the release and upload of teaching packages during the distance weeks.

The division of activities between presence and distance follows the academic calendar of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. Considering that each semester consists of 10 weeks of teaching activities, the percentages indicated above are distributed as follows for all courses (except laboratories):

  • from the first to the third week of face-to-face lessons;
  • from the fourth to the seventh week, distance learning activities;
  • from week VIII to X face-to-face activities.

Part-time student enrolment
Students who do not have the full availability of their time for work, family, health or other personal reasons, may opt, at the time of enrolment or renewal of current enrolment, for a training course that allows them to carry out activities equal to 50% of the teaching activities planned for the course year.
