The programme in a nutshell

A valid figure in the medical field: scientific basis, human depth

A six-year study programme that allows students to acquire knowledge in the field of general and special dentistry, in a path of professional and human growth of the student. The multidisciplinary approach develops fundamental skills in the field of disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment and raises awareness among future dentists of the ethical and legal responsibilities of the profession.

Teaching methodology

In addition to the traditional teaching of frontal lectures, the training course leaves ample room for professional internships and supplementary laboratory activities.

And then? A dentist who is attentive to the patient's needs

After the age of six, students will obtain the title of Master's Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and will be able to work as a dentist in different fields: clinical, health and bio-medical.

Open Day Unicatt

The day of presentation of the undergraduate and integrated degrees of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. The University's Rome campus opens its doors to students for a day of orientation: presentations of the Faculty, face-to-face interviews with students already enrolled, information desks on the services and opportunities that make the university experience at Cattolica unique.

Presentation

The integrated degree programme is divided into six years and ends with the graduation exam and the achievement of the title of Graduate in Dentistry.

The training course also leaves ample room for professional internships and winds along the study of:

  • composition, structure and functioning of the human organism at an essential level;
  • mechanisms underlying diseases and their morpho-functional correlates;
  • methodologies of approach to the sick patient, both directly and through the use of the most appropriate and modern techniques and tools.

The next phase of the programme is dedicated to the therapeutic and rehabilitative approach through the use of the most up-to-date drugs, surgical techniques and therapeutic protocols.

Opportunities
This Faculty provides modern technical and scientific equipment, but above all it allows you to benefit from the close connection with the "A. Gemelli" Polyclinic, a university hospital with over 1500 beds between admissions and day hospitals, capable of performing tens of thousands of services in the emergency room every year and more than 9 million total services and outpatient clinics: those who enrol at Università Cattolica thus have the unique opportunity not only to study medicine, but to 'live' it.
In addition to the more classic frontal teaching - with professors of recognized international scientific level - there are internship activities, in-depth studies (conferences, seminars, ad hoc projects), computer and multimedia sessions, as well as specialized workshops.
