Law - "Double Degree in Law and Economics"

Coordinator: prof. Marco Allena

Unique in Italy, the innovative "Law and Economics" integrated degree programme with a double degree option (5+1) is the result of the experience gained in the daily teaching activity developed in the Faculty of Economics and Law"

This has allowed the preparation of a study plan aimed at training professionals capable of combining solid legal knowledge with skills and competencies in the economic and managerial fields, with also an in-depth study of the legal issues of the digital society.

A profile with great attention to the cultural roots of law, but also a strong drive for innovation, ensured by being included in a Campus that is both small and large, with a careful look at the international dimension.

During the five-year period (5) the following will be accrued: the ECTS (Credits) necessary to obtain a first integrated degree in Law (class LMG/01), a sufficient number of credits to allow direct access to the last year of the Graduate Degree Programme in Business Management and in Banking and Consulting, active in the same Faculty of Economics and Law at the Piacenza campus.

With just one additional year (+1) it will be possible to obtain a second Graduate degree in Business Management (with specialisation in the profiles of "General Management" or "Tax Law – Freelance ") or, alternatively, Banking and Consulting (class LM-77).

The strengths of the programme

An integrated degree programme, which develops the teaching of the basics of law over five years. The possibility of choosing some courses allows the student to direct themself towards a specific area of law, with the possibility of privileging the forensic, international or business field. In addition to the legal disciplines, there are also socio-economic and ethical disciplines, in line with the University's vocation.

The theoretical preparation is accompanied by a constant attention to applied law (both at national and international level), through the analysis of Case Law that allows the verification of what has been learned in the field. The close relationship with the professors/lecturers is another strength of the programme.

In addition to the traditional legal outlets (lawyers, judiciary, notaries), graduates will be able to access a wide range of professions and roles in the world of business, public administration, international organisations and communication.
