In addition to the workshop activities (Journalism Workshop and Soft Skills Empowerment Workshop) already envisaged in the undergraduate degree curriculum, since the academic year 2022/23, three new workshops have activated to enrich the educational offer of the undergraduate degree, in a plastic and eclectic way, and that can be included in the study plan as "free choice activities" (4 ECTS).

The three new workshops benefit from specific funding from the company Deloitte, a partner in Brescia: also for this reason they essentially aim to promote the meeting between universities, business, the job market and professions.

The contents of the workshops are extremely innovative and therefore represent an opportunity to increase one's specialist skills in the managerial field, while also providing fundamental transversal knowledge, functional to a highly professional training.

Brand management

Brand management is the activity of coordinating the various elements of the brand. It is a mix of values, both tangible and intangible, that belong to the world of the brand. Distinctive traits that make the brand unique and that, if well managed, increase the value perceived by the consumer in relation to a product and enhance brand awareness.

The workshop will illustrate how the concept and strategies of branding have evolved over time, involving people to a greater extent, and how today companies increasingly implement communication strategies and activate socio-cultural dynamics of self-branding on digital platforms. The global phenomenon of influencers (or content creators) will also be addressed, from a socio-cultural and consumer culture perspective, analyzing the phenomena of celebrification, self-commodification and construction of parasocial relationships.

Supply chain management

  • The supply chain manager is an increasingly central figure in the evolution strategies of contemporary companies. Specifically, he/she must deal with the management of the entire distribution chain, with particular reference to logistics and the relationship with suppliers. This is mainly based on the forecasting, planning and coordination of the flow of goods, and on the expectations of the end customer. In this sense, supply chain management can be defined as a systematic coordination of traditional business functions and tactics, within each organization and along the supply chain, which aims to improve the long-term performance of the different actors operating along the supply chain itself.
  • This workshop aims to introduce the student to the recognition of the role, the functions performed and the skills required of the supply chain manager, bringing experiences and discussing concrete cases of problems faced in this field.

Selling for business

The aim of the "Selling for Business" workshop is to provide participants with an in-depth overview of selling, starting from the assumption that whether you are carrying out a sales activity yourself, working in a role that has to do with sales, or even getting to manage a company, it is essential to have a clear understanding of how this fundamental process works.

Through the detailed analysis of the sales phases, we will analyze how each individual phase is structured, discovering what the best practices are and what actually happens on the market and how sellers behave in reality.

Always based on the market analysis, data that must be regularly processed, it will also be useful to be able to deepen how to effectively monitor the sales process, with the aim of having indicators that can signal if something is not working in the best way and from there, also know what actions to put in place to make things work properly.

Thinking in a process logic, we will delve into the ways in which sales are positioned compared to other business processes and what are the best actions to be implemented and tools to be used to ensure that everything can "flow" effectively.
