INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES IN THEIR PENULTIMATE YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL ABROAD

To enrol in the 1st modality of admission to the degree programme, you must declare in the Enrolment Portal the average obtained in the penultimate year of high school.

If you are about to obtain or have obtained an Italian diploma and you attended the entire penultimate year of high school abroad, in order to register in the 1st modality of admission you must declare in the Enrolment Portal the average converted according to the Italian grading system and upload the report card issued to you by the Italian educational institution.
If you cannot provide the converted report card, but you have the average expressed out of 10 for the year spent abroad, you can upload an official document issued by the school attesting to this information.
If, on the other hand, you are only in possession of a document indicating the school credits assigned, you must upload it and take into account that the average obtained is defined according to the following table:

If you do not have one of the above documents, declare the average obtained in the third-to-last year and upload, in a single file, the relevant report card and the transcript of the penultimate year carried out abroad.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If you have only spent the 1st term abroad, declare the average obtained in the second term, expressed out of 10, and upload the report card of the penultimate year showing the average obtained in the final exam out of 10.
  • If you have only spent the 2nd term abroad, declare the converted average according to the Italian grading system and upload the report card with the grades of the final report card issued by the Italian school. If you cannot provide the report card with the converted grades of the final exam or a document showing the average or credits obtained at the end of the penultimate year, declare the average obtained at the end of the 1st term spent in Italy and upload, in a single file, the transcript of the term spent abroad and the report card of the first term spent in Italy.

PLEASE NOTE: under no circumstances will translations of foreign transcripts or self-certifications of mark conversion be accepted.

FOR ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE 1ST YEAR OF THE PROGRAMME

The Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI) is a compulsory test for all students enrolled in the 1st year of an undergraduate or integrated degree programme, in order to be able to ascertain the basic knowledge to successfully attend the chosen degree course.
