New undergraduate degree programme for the academic year 2024-2025

The undergraduate programme in Tourism Management, Sustainability, and Enhancing the Land aims to provide students with a complete preparation in the economic, business, linguistic and artistic-cultural disciplines to prepare them to face the challenges of a sector, such as tourism, which is constantly evolving. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainability issues, which have become essential in the current context. The aim is to train professionals able to manage tourism activities in a responsible and harmonious way with the environment and local culture.

The positioning of the programme is based on the proposal of a complete vision of the tourism sector, avoiding focusing exclusively on a single sub-sector. This approach aims to prepare students for a variety of innovative career outlets, ensuring a diverse potential demand.

Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, students acquire a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and the operational skills necessary for strategic and operational management of tourism activities. The approach to language study aims to develop not only communication skills, but also an in-depth understanding of the underlying culture, which is essential to operate in a relational perspective with customers, both managing activities related to incoming tourists and supporting outgoing Italian tourists .

The programme also includes the management of promotional activities on traditional and new media, exploring the potential of innovative technologies such as AI and the Metaverse. Special attention is also paid to the management and promotion of artistic and cultural heritage, an essential element in building an attractive and authentic tourist experience.

In addition to the objectives traditionally associated with the acquisition of technical knowledge, the so-called soft skills will be emphasized. These are crucial in service-oriented contexts, as they include relational and interpersonal skills that are crucial for effectively managing relationships with customers and partner networks, both public and private. These skills include team working, public speaking, time management, and meeting deadlines.

The curriculum includes numerous professional workshops and is complemented by a curricular internship to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical experience and prepare them for a career in the tourism sector.
