Faithful to the mandate of its founders, Università Cattolica interprets its role as a comprehensive university by combining scientific research, higher education and third mission activities, with the aim of contributing directly to the moral and material progress of society.
The university can not be a castle on the hill, isolated, remote and inaccessible. It must open its borders, building deep and meaningful connections to the local ecosystem - the city, the region, the nation - and internationally. Only then can it be truly alive, sustaining and refreshing itself for the future.
Università Cattolica, in line with the spirit of its founders, specifically aims to ensure the presence of committed people in the academic and cultural world who are prepared to address and solve the problems of society and culture, in the light of the Christian message and moral principles." The implementation and social impact of its activities are ensured both by strategic thinking at the University level and by the commitment of a large number of professors and experts, who work within the numerous organizational units, through a multiplicity of projects that can be traced back to the following macro-categories and monitored annually through the Single Annual Report on Third Mission and Social Impact (SUA-TM/IS Sheet).
