Overview

The graduate degree programme in Agricultural and food economics is organised within the renowned Graduate School of Agri-food Economics and Management at Università Cattolica, which boasts a solid and thirty-year reputation in the field of agricultural and food economics and business. The synergy between the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Law ensures additionally a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral education, skills that are increasingly valued in the job market. What sets this course apart is its strong international orientation.

Students have the opportunity to enhance their academic journey by spending one or two semesters of the second year at partner universities in Europe, Australia, or North America, thus obtaining a Double Degree. The aim of the Double Degree Programmes is to give students a stronger international background in the area of agricultural and food economics. This also implies experiencing a multicultural study environment, getting used to different teaching and learning methods and taking part to a larger network of job market contacts. Admission to all DDs is based on merit and knowledge of English. Furthermore, the programme is entirely taught in English, ensuring students an international learning experience and facilitating communication and collaboration with professors and colleagues from around the world.

The teaching method is highly stimulating, with engaged participation in class and direct interaction with professors who are experts in the field of agricultural and food economics. This approach enables the acquisition of a solid understanding of theoretical concepts and their practical applications in the real world.

The study plan provides for the attendance of a Theology course, in order to offer a motivated, reasoned and organic knowledge of Catholicism.

Admission

To enrol in the graduate degree programme in Agricultural and Food Economics, candidates must meet the admission requirements outlined on unicatt.it. It is advisable to regularly check the programme pages, which all updates will be posted.

In addition to meeting the admission criteria, candidates must have a sufficient command of the English language, at least at level B2.

Places are open access, within the limits of available resources and are allocated following interviews to assess the suitability of candidates' personal preparation.
