Learning objectives

This degree aims to prepare specialists who will operate in positions of responsibility within innovative and digital companies, taking on management and strategic development functions, whether they are already existing or newly established companies.

To achieve this goal, the training of graduates will be based on the contamination of the knowledge necessary to create and manage digital businesses, combining them through two generative processes:

  1. The innovation process
  2. The entrepreneurial process

The adoption of these transversal processes as drivers of knowledge learning, combined with the fact that students come from varied degree programmes (scientific, technological and economic) and a teaching methodology based on project works, workshops, seminars, internships and mentoring activities with companies, will encourage the training of hybrid professionals, capable of combining digital, economic, financial, legal, humanities and soft skills.

The main areas of knowledge included in the degree programme are those of:

  • Economics and business management of innovative enterprises
  • Corporate finance (with a specific focus on financing innovative companies)
  • Commercial and industrial law
  • Project management and innovation management
  • Human sciences (psychology, sociology, pedagogy) applied to organisations and digital media
  • Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)

The processes of innovation and entrepreneurship are the triggers of the contamination between these distinct areas of knowledge and will both be adopted, in the degree programme, to allow students to acquire knowledge and put it into practice already during the two years of the programme.

Innovation

Innovation, in this context, refers to the initial commercialisation on the market of an invention or idea, in the form of a new product or process. Today, the innovation cycle has accelerated, especially in the digital economy. In order for innovation to truly produce value for the innovator, it must be defended, protected from possible imitations of competitors.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is the process of creating or seizing an opportunity and pursuing it, no matter how many resources you have at your disposal. The entrepreneurial process starts from the ability to identify a market opportunity (Business opportunity), requires the formulation of a new product or business idea (Business idea), moves on to the design of a business model, and then arrives at the drafting of a business plan on which the concrete possibility of producing value for the customer in a sustainable way over time is based.
