The following skills, knowledge and abilities are specific educational objectives qualifying the Graduate Degree Programme in Linguistic Sciences (which belongs to class LM-38 Modern Languages for International Communication and Cooperation):

  • possession of a high level of competence in at least two of the languages of international communication, in the four skills (oral comprehension and production and written comprehension and production) applied to specialty languages;
  • in-depth knowledge of the intercultural issues related to the chosen languages;
  • acquisition of qualified skills in the disciplines most directly involved in the management and problems of the various specialisation profiles.

The normal duration of the graduate degree programme is an additional two years after graduation.

The Graduate Degree Programme in Linguistic Sciences is divided into a single curriculum:

  • Applied linguistic sciences

The study plan is, in principle, organised on an epistemological core, which illustrates the characteristics of the discipline, and on the analysis of concrete application cases.
Specialisation ECTS will be acquired by students according to the profiles described below.

The study plan includes the acquisition of:

  • 40 ECTS of Modern Languages
  •  4 ECTS of Educational Activities in the field of Semiotics, Linguistics and Computer Science
  • 12 ECTS of educational activities in the field of economic, legal, political, social and communication sciences

Professional profiles
As part of the optional training activities, which the student must indicate when submitting his/her study plan, the Faculty has identified combinations of courses that allow the acquisition of ECTS in relation to the following professional profiles:

  • International Management, 
  • Linguistic Sciences for International Relations, 
  • Media & Digital Management.
