Dissertation
The dissertation consists of a written paper (historical-critical or philological, or a project or word processing test according to the typologies present in the laboratories). It can be usefully accompanied by a finished electronic product or in the form of a story-board.

The graduate degree programme is divided into five educational profiles:
- Philological-Literary
- Historical Sciences
- Publishing and Management of Book Heritage
- Writing, Media and Performing Arts
- Religious Literature and History
To obtain the Graduate degree in Modern Philology, the student must have acquired at least 120 university ECTS. Each exam is awarded a certain number of ECTS, the same for all students and a grade (expressed in thirtieths) that varies according to the level of preparation.
The courses conclude with an evaluation test, which must in any case be expressed by means of a mark out of thirty. This may also apply to other supplementary forms of teaching, for which suitability may also be required. After passing the final degree exam, the student obtains the graduate degree in Modern Philology.
The exams will take the form of oral interviews or written papers or productions or practical exercises. Moreover, the assessment of learning will take place, in addition to the exam sessions, also during the course of the teaching activities, through the methods that will be considered most suitable from time to time (exercises, application research, project development, questionnaires, etc.). The drafting of the final dissertation will then be a privileged opportunity to verify the skills acquired both in terms of disciplinary content and the methods and tools available. The normal duration of the graduate degree programme is an additional two years after the undergraduate degree programme. The time reserved for personal study, as a rule, is equal to at least 75% of the total hourly commitment, with the possibility of lower percentages for individual training activities with a high experimental or practical content.
