What is an internship?
The curricular internship assigning credits (ECTS) is provided for by the educational system and consists in the participation of the student in the activity of a host company carried out according to different methods and to specific plans agreed with the same company.
The curricular internship does not constitute in any way a work activity but is part of the training process of the degree programme for the achievement of the objectives indicated in the study plan.

Internship Specific Details
Duration: at least 400 hours corresponding to 16 credits (ECTS), in companies in the tertiary sector and commercial services.
Compulsory internship in the study plan of the undergraduate degree programme in Economics and Management - Service Management profile
N° of ECTS assigned to the internship: 16
Method of awarding the ECTS: at the end of the internship, the register and the company's assessment must be handed over to the university tutor of reference, duly completed and signed. During the meeting, the tutor collects information on the internship experience, as well as on the tasks and the skills acquired, verifies the regularity of the documents and delivers the internship report. The lecturer of reference for the final paper fills in the report taking note of the company evaluations and the Student Services record the grade and the ECTS

FAQ
- Is it possible to do an internship abroad? Yes, it is.
- Is there financial support (scholarship or reimbursement of expenses) for the curricular internship? The allocation of financial supports is at the discretion of the host company.
- Is it always possible to interrupt the internship? It is possible to interrupt an internship by giving reasoned written notice. A preliminary discussion with the university tutor of reference is always advisable.
- Is it possible to replace the internship with an elective exam? The study plan of the degree programme in Economics and Management - Service Management profile does not include the possibility of replacing the internship with an elective exam.
- Is it possible to change the duration of a curricular internship? The allocation of ECTS is commensurate with the duration of the internship, so it is not possible to change it. However, it is possible to combine the duration of several internships by reaching the total duration provided for in the study plan.
