To obtain the undergraduate degree, 180 university credits (ECTS) must be acquired, an average of 60 for each year. ECTS are acquired by taking the assessment tests for the various courses and other training activities. Each exam is awarded a certain number of ECTS, the same for all students, and a grade (expressed in thirtieths) that varies according to the level of preparation. The final exam is expressed in one hundred and tenths.

For the third year, the Faculty suggests four specialization paths, responding to different cultural and professional vocations:

  • Legal Assistant (Judicial Assistant and "Paralegal")
  • Expert in Public Administration Law
  • Labour and Trade Union Relations Consultant
  • Privacy & Information Security Officer

The course aims at the training of court clerks, staff working within professional firms, corporate legal departments as well as legal functions established in trade associations and representative bodies. Alongside the traditional figure of judicial assistants, the role of the new generation legal assistant, also defined by the Anglo-Saxon term "paralegal", is a novelty of increasing importance and frequency in organized professional structures and companies. In a context of increasing professionalisation and specialisation, legal assistants who provide qualified assistance to judges and professionals working in the legal sector - for example lawyers, in-house lawyers, members of boards of statutory auditors and supervisory bodies, secretaries of boards of directors - must possess an adequate level of technical competence, such as to allow them to consciously manage activities potentially likely to produce significant legal effects. The establishment of a course dedicated to the training of legal assistants responds to the growing need for qualified human resources who can carry out tasks involving a basic level of technical-legal competence. One thinks of the physical activity of keeping electronic files in civil or administrative proceedings (and in the future hopefully in criminal proceedings), the duties of the registry, the management of company books as well as the support activities for boards of statutory auditors and supervisory bodies within commercial companies.

The course aims to provide a solid basic competence in the main areas of law, with particular attention to the field of public administration. The aim is to ensure that graduates have an adequate level of preparation to carry out qualified activities in public institutions and private entities that regularly interact with the public administration. At the end of the course, the student will have acquired a solid set of legal skills, flexible and versatile, able to respond to different needs. These skills will enable students to find employment in public entities such as Municipalities, Metropolitan Cities and Regions, as well as in private companies, with roles such as legal expert in urban planning, construction and the environment, legal consultant for public contracts, protocol manager, internal audit officer, transparency officer, corruption prevention officer, and consultant on regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.

It is a well-established path in the undergraduate degrees in Legal Services on the Italian scene, also thanks to the professional outlet offered by labor consultancy. The course aims to offer basic legal knowledge and skills, with a more in-depth study of subjects related to the employment relationship, social security and industrial relations. Among the professional outlets, the more traditional ones of the freelance profession in labor consulting and inclusion in company functions related to personnel management (personnel management in the strict sense and Human Resource Management) are worth mentioning. However, the demand for experts in (labour law) is also growing in the world of employment agencies, trade unions and trade associations, where there is a demand for professionals capable of contributing to the new institutions of the labour market and corporate welfare.

The training course aims to prepare professionals able to offer consulting services on privacy and data protection to institutions, companies and professional firms. At the end of the course, students will have acquired in-depth knowledge of national and EU regulations, as well as privacy and data protection practices. This training will provide them with a solid legal foundation and the skills they need to pursue emerging careers in the privacy and information security industry.

One of the most significant innovations introduced by the new regulations on the subject, issued in May 2018 in Italy and in the European Union with EU Regulation no. 2016/679, is the professional figure of the Data Protection Officer (DPO), mandatory for all public authorities and many private entities that manage personal data on a large scale or sensitive data.

The course also trains privacy specialists, in charge of supporting public and private organizations in the correct implementation of data processing, and privacy consultants, experts in civil, criminal, and labor law. These consultants offer support to DPOs, manage privacy issues in the absence of a DPO, and take care of the protection of the rights of natural persons, also through interaction with the Data Protection Authority.

In addition, the course prepares professionals specialized in IT security management, providing essential skills to face the increasingly significant challenges of protecting information systems.

For those who wish to learn more about digitalization and its impact on legal relations, the Advanced Training Course in "Cybersecurity & Data Management" is also available, activated at the Faculty of Law starting from the academic year 2022-2023.
