The curricular internship is a key to access the world of work with which to experiment "on the field" the notions learned during university training and evaluate the real motivation with respect to a professional role. It represents an opportunity for professional and personal growth and to complete and improve one's curriculum and thus integrate the process of classroom learning and individual study.

It is, therefore, a period of experimentation that allows you to concretely apply the knowledge acquired at the University to different work environments.

Università Cattolica has understood the value of this tool, including it in most of its degree programmes and awarding credits for the achievement of the degree.

Attribution of ECTS

The Undergraduate Degree Programme in Languages for Business (formerly called Business Language Expert) includes a compulsory internship of 12 ECTS, which corresponds to 300 hours of internship to be carried out in a company on a full-time or part-time basis (a minimum of 20 hours per week is required).

All the other programmes of the Undergraduate and the Graduate Degree Programme give the possibility of including in the study plan, among the "Other training activities", an optional internship of 4 ECTS, equivalent to 100 hours of internship to be carried out in the company with full-time or part-time hours (a minimum of 20 hours per week is required).

Practical information

The office hours of the Internship Tutors of the Faculty of Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literatures are as follows:

Monday, 14:30-16:30
Wednesday, 10:30-12:30

Any changes will be reported on the notice board of the Community Stage Curriculari/Curricular Internship Community on the Blackboard platform. Office hours are free, with no obligation to make an appointment, however changes are possible; it is therefore advisable to often check the homepage of the Community.

If you are unable to attend in perdon, you can always write to the tutor.leli@unicatt.it address and/or leave any documentation in a sealed envelope at the reception in Via Necchi, 9 for the attention of the Internship Tutors.

On the Community Stage Curriculari/Curricular Internship Community on Blackboard you can find all the preliminary information about curricular internships.

To access the Community, you need to connect to http://icatt.unicatt.it (or http://blackboard.unicatt.it) and enter your credentials. Once you have entered the system, you need to select the COURSES tab and enter  "internships" in the "search for courses" field. Once you have found the "Community Curricular Internships" course, you need to tick the box to add the course. It will be enough, therefore, to enter SEARCHED COURSES to access the Community.
