The main objective of the degree programme in Occupational Therapy is the training of specialized health professionals able to assist, independently or in collaboration with other professionals, people in the recovery of their mental and motor skills, helping them to become more autonomous in daily activities such as those carried out at home, at school or in the workplace. Graduates will also be prepared to modify environments in order to improve the quality of life of disabled people, in accordance with current regulations. During the undergraduate programme, students acquire the fundamental skills to operate in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals suffering from physical and mental diseases and disorders, both temporary and permanent. This is done through the use of differentiated methodologies, including expressive, manual, playful and everyday activities.
A special feature of the programme is the emphasis on practical experience. From the very first year, in fact, students participate in training activities and clinical internships, working under the supervision of professional tutors . This approach allows them to combine theoretical skills with concrete skills and with the prospect of applying what they have learned during lectures in the field.
