The programme in a nutshell

Professionalism and human sensitivity: a figure at the service of others

Choosing to embark on this path means wanting to mature, in addition to technical and scientific skills, strong interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work in a team.

The courses are organized in facilities located throughout the country: the partnerships activated with hospitals, health authorities and institutes allow the training course to be carried out in different locations before the final qualifying exam for the profession.

Teaching methodology

Direct experiences are the real added value of these courses: in addition to lectures, from the first year students are involved in practical training activities and clinical internships (with professional tutors).

And then?

Thanks to a progressively more specific training course, students will be able to deal with clinical problems related to the musculoskeletal system, the related diagnostic paths and therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions (experienced directly in the internship experiences).

Presentation

The undergraduate degree programme in Orthopaedic Techniques starts with the learning of preparatory and fundamental knowledge for the understanding of the phenomena related to orthopaedic sciences. Disciplines useful for understanding the elements underlying general physiological, pathological and biomechanical processes are addressed; Then, over the course of the three-year period, the training becomes progressively more specific, until it addresses the clinical problems related to the musculoskeletal system in the medical and surgical fields and the related diagnostic pathways, as well as the relevant therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions. Internship experiences are a valuable opportunity to experience, with supervision, a direct execution of orthoses, prostheses and aids.
