The degree programme includes 12 ECTS in the study plan to be obtained between the second and third year of the course, to be allocated to activities of the student's free choice.

These ECTS give the student the opportunity to complete his/her preparation in the field of social work with professionalizing training activities, enriching it with knowledge relevant to social work, which derive from the encounter with field, work and life experiences.

The elective activities for which students can apply for accreditation are, for example:

  • Additional periods of Internship or Experimental Internship.
  • Activities such as volunteeringcivil service and workshops, seminars or certified training courses, related to social work, organized by the University or other bodies.
  • Workshops organized specifically for students of the degree course in Social Work Sciences, on topics that vary over the years. For example: personal training, mourning, social work in the field of alcohol-related problems, senile dementia, immigration, for the independent life of disabled people, with families in debt, in the penitentiary environment.
  • On a residual basis, elective activities may consist of additional university courses, with the related exams.
