The main objective of the professional internship in the Degree Programme in Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques is to develop professional, relational and behavioural skills, diagnostic reasoning and critical thinking related to the professional profile, as well as the development of professional identity and belonging.
The professional internship is carried out under the guidance and supervision of clinical and educational tutors, coordinated by the Director of Professional Teaching and Internship Activities, who take responsibility for facilitating and optimizing the learning process.
During the internship, the student is immersed in a work context characterized by a variability of situations in which he has the opportunity to experiment with his professional skills with progressive assumption of responsibility.
At the end of each academic year, a committee, chaired by the Director of Teaching, Professional and Internship Activities and by professional and clinical tutors, evaluates and certifies the student's professional learning through the internship exam. This assessment is comprehensive and includes:

  • data on the student's internship path, resulting from the evaluation forms filled in by the tutor(s) to whom the student is entrusted;
  • written papers and/or care plans on clinical cases;
  • the internship exam, which consists of a practical test with simulation of technical-assistance settings in the areas of radiodiagnostics, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and health physics for the evaluation of the clinical skills and technical-professional skills acquired by the student.
