The School of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences participates with its teaching, organisational and research resources, together with the Faculty of Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literatures and the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society of the Università della Svizzera italiana - Lugano, in the activation of this interfaculty and inter-university degree programme (Joint degree).

The Graduate degree programme in European Studies in Investor Relations and Financial Communication aims to train graduates with advanced knowledge of the methodological, cultural and professional aspects of institutional communication and external relations in the banking and financial sectors; this knowledge allows the graduate to develop solutions, even original ones, that make the cross-cultural dialogue effective, in banking and financial matters, between the various interlocutors, both public (European institutions and authorities, Member States and non-EU States, etc.) and private (banks, insurance companies, financial intermediaries, institutional investors and consulting firms), with regard to institutional, regulatory, economic, financial and cultural issues emerging from the European scenario.

The teaching system of the degree programme is specifically designed in order to respond to the needs set out above through the promotion of a training programme in which synergies that derive from the meeting of four thematic areas are merged: the regulatory and institutional context of the European Union in the economic-financial field and the dynamics between European institutions and EU and non-EU counterparts; economic and financial expertise, especially in the sectors of banking and financial intermediaries in the European Union; the linguistic and cultural dimension of the interlocutors; institutional communication profiles and argumentative methods in context.
