The first year of the programme is aimed at introducing the basic criteria in the Areas of Organisation and Management, Training and Education, and Research and Innovation.

Organisation and Management Area

  • Knowledge of the general bases of law, the principles of local self-government and the rules of health organisations within public and private bodies;
  • Knowledge of the theoretical and methodological elements of design;
  • Planning and implementation of interventions for the employment and optimization of human resources within the rehabilitation team;
  • Evaluation and enhancement of the roles of the various professional figures in multidisciplinary projects.

Training and Education Area

  • Models for the evaluation and verification of educational projects, particularly in adulthood;
  • Organization of basic training processes;  
  • Corporate training planning and design of training events;
  • Knowledge of the different populations from a socio-cultural point of view.

Research and Innovation Area

  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of the different scientific disciplines that include welfare, rehabilitation and the technical field of health professions in the rehabilitation area;
  • Qualitative/quantitative research methodology;
  • Learning of cultural, organisational and research references in rehabilitation medicine;  

The second year of the programme is aimed at contextualizing training in the different structures of the professions for the application of management, training and research skills to the reality of the world of work.

Organisation and Management Area

  • Acquisition and knowledge of the skills aimed at promoting and supporting innovation, creativity and organisational change;
  • Learning of the psychological aspects of both individual and group work behaviour;
  • Learning of the basic concepts of business economic analysis applied to healthcare systems: public healthcare, private healthcare and accredited private healthcare.

Training and Education Area

  • Study of the different training and assistance models;  
  • Design and organisation of undergraduate and graduate degree programmes, first and second level university specialising master's programmes in the professions of the second class;  
  • methodological and teaching aspects of training, tutorial teaching;
  • analysis of conflicts in professional relationships, management of problems in the professional field and between teachers and learners.

Research and Innovation Area

  • Learner training in the theoretical aspects of statistical analysis, clinical and epidemiological studies;
  • Deepening of the knowledge of the aspects of research in rehabilitation with reference to all professions in the rehabilitation area.

The courses in the various academic disciplines will be carried out through:

  • lectures;
  • theoretical-practical exercises;
  • laboratory activities;
  • internship activities. The internship can be carried out at faculty facilities, public and private health authorities accredited with the NHS. Internship stays can be organised at other Italian or foreign universities, according to the agreements stipulated on the national territory and international exchange projects;
  • In-depth study of the different disciplines.
