Curriculum Physics

With the skills acquired in this profile, the graduate will be able to carry out, by way of example but not exclusively, activities in the following areas:

Technology, applications and innovation in the public and private sectors

  • planning, organisation and conduct of laboratory measurements;  
  • management and planning of high-tech equipment in the fields of industry, environment, health, cultural heritage and public administration;  
  • programming, management, processing and analysis of large amounts of data in various scientific fields, not strictly of a physical nature. 

Research & Development 

  • research, consultancy, training and updating activities at universities or public and private research institutions, developing theories, calculation methods, instrumentation and measurement methodologies.

Promotion and dissemination of scientific culture and teaching 

  • promotion of the development of scientific and technological innovation, outreach activities on physics and dissemination of scientific culture;  
  • design and development of innovative teaching tools and methodologies; monitoring and analysis of teaching and teaching processes; specialisation in specific teacher training courses.

 

Curriculum Physics for Technologies and Innovation

With the skills acquired in this profile, the graduate, in addition to the paths seen above, will be able to pursue a career in small, medium and large companies and start-ups with high technological and innovation content or in consulting companies for technology transfer and innovation in the following areas of Innovation Management:

  • implementation of the enabling technologies envisaged by the National Business Plan 4.0 (new materials and techniques for advanced manufacturing; data analysis; cloud computing; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning);
  • evaluation of innovation opportunities starting from the company's request for digitization and technological innovation in relation to the reference market;
  • promotion and management of cultural/managerial/procedural changes necessary for the implementation of new technologies in the company;
  • evaluation and analysis of the company's existing innovation projects, contributing to them also with their scientific and technological skills, relating to all company functions.
