Introduction to the world of work

The curricular internship represents an opportunity to enter the world of work. Each student will be able to choose from a list of internships that the Transcrime Center of Università Cattolica activates every year with companies and research centers, or find an internship independently.

  • To be held in the 2nd semester of the 2nd year
  • Duration from 3 to 6 months
  • To obtain the credits provided for in the study plan, it is necessary to have taken all the exams of the 1st year before the start of the internship

Transcrime organizes seminars for CrimeSec students with experts from various institutions and companies.

PHD IN CRIMINOLOGY
The International PhD in Criminology of Università Cattolica is a training program for students who intend to undertake a 3-year research programme. During this period, the PhD student collaborates in the research activities of Transcrime.

JUNIOR RESEARCHER
Transcrime, Crime&tech and ITSTIME – the research centre on security and terrorism of Università Cattolica – offer the opportunity to collaborate on projects in various research areas: from terrorism to emergency management, from phenomena related to organised crime to the security of places.

SECURITY ANALYST
The Security Analyst deals with the security of a company's sensitive information. Its task is to prevent any unauthorised access to corporate networks and improve corporate security policies.

LOSS PREVENTION / FRAUD ANALYST
The Loss Prevention Analyst and the Fraud Analyst work to prevent theft and fraud against the company. Most of these professionals work in the retail industry, while some are employed within insurance companies and in the banking industry.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY OFFICER
The Business Continuity Officer develops business plans to ensure the continuity of business performance following the occurrence of exceptional events such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism or human error.

KYC AND CDD ANALYSTS
The first lines of defense against money laundering are the so-called Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes. Professionals working in this field collect information on new customers and develop a risk profile based on geography, employment sector, product, political status and reputational risk.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
CrimeSec allows you to participate in public selections for managerial positions within the Public Administration, such as in the fields of urban security, local police and civil protection.
