Templates and tools for managing the Welfare and Sustainable Development (MOST)
MOST is the curriculum dedicated to welfare and environmental sustainability of the Graduate degree programme in Public Policies at the Università Cattolica of Milan, coordinated by Prof. Gian Paolo Barbetta.
This curriculum provides the tools for the knowledge of the functioning of modern welfare systems that see the joint presence of public, private and third sector actors.
Graduates work in the fields of supplementary pensions, environmental sustainability, insurance, banking, health, public and private assistance, training, human resources management and labour policies, and international cooperation.
Strcuture
Training
- Understand the main issues related to the development of public and private welfare and environmental sustainability interventions
- Know the main practical and theoretical tools to operate in the management of corporate welfare, public welfare interventions and interventions to promote environmental sustainability
- Planning projects in the field of welfare and sustainability and managing their implementation
Specific teachings of MOST
- Interdisciplinarity of teaching with courses related to the different sectors of welfare (health, education, social security, cultural heritage, environment) with the contribution of demographers, economists, jurists, sociologists and statisticians
- Data-driven approach and statistical and methodological preparation for a correct use of data
- Legal training in the field of administrative law, with particular attention to regulations related to the organisation of welfare
- Corporate training to learn about business processes and learn how to plan, manage and evaluate projects and interventions
Integrated courses
Abandoning the old approach of courses separated by disciplines, the teachers of different disciplines help to better understand the problems of the different sectors of future activity of graduates by intervening in the same courses
