The testimonials of the Graduate Degree Programme in "Social Work and Services for Families, Minors and Communities"

Beatrice Cacopardo

PhD student in Social Work and Personal Social Services – Social Worker in the Protection and Inclusion area, Marta Società Cooperativa Sociale Onlus at the Municipality of Rozzano

My university career has been a journey of continuous enrichment.

I chose to enrol in the Graduate degree programme in "Social Work and Services for Families, Minors and Communities", because the world of social work is varied and complex. By continuing my studies, I was able to achieve a complete training that allows me to better help the people I work with on a daily basis. Thanks to the internship, I was able to experience first-hand the promotion of innovative community development projects to meet the needs of the fragile population and enter the world of services.

Claudia Ravasi

Social worker at the Municipality of Cambiago (Milan), adult, elderly and disabled area.

This Graduate degree programme has allowed me to enrich my educational path, providing me with food for thought and an approach to social work that orients me every day in my work and allows me to build a helping relationship based on mutual trust with the people I meet. I recommend this Graduate degree programme to those who want to learn new and interesting methods and tools of social work, to become a social worker capable of getting involved and bringing a breath of fresh air and creativity to institutional environments.

Letizia Colombo

Social Worker at the Municipality of Cesano Maderno – Special Consortium Company "Consorzio Desio-Brianza" – area for the protection of minors and adults with mental fragility.

The Graduate degree programme in "Social Work and Services for Families, Minors and Communities" allowed me to discover and learn about innovative and cutting-edge methodologies of Social Work, each of these based on the centrality of the person and the value of experiential knowledge. Having had the opportunity to learn about these methodologies, as well as to deepen the managerial role that the social worker can assume within personal services, has helped me to open up to the professional path with a more aware look at the multidisciplinary nature of my professional role. The years spent at university have been very enriching and of personal growth, in particular the internship experience that allowed me to meet and get to know different professionals, services and life stories, opportunities for professional as well as human growth.

Michela Tettamanti

Social worker at the CSLS cooperative in Como on a housing first project for homeless people, Administrative at the social services of the Municipality of Como.

I chose to undertake the Graduate degree programme because I felt the desire to continue questioning and reflecting on the profession. I was very happy with this choice because the opportunity to discuss with expert professors, always ready for dialogue and passionate about their work, allowed me to keep the part of reflection and comparison alive. In addition, the opportunity to study innovative techniques and tools of the profession, which always put people at the center of the interventions that concern them, I am sure will be of help to me throughout my professional career.

Franceska Aliraj

Volunteer at Spazio Socialità, Multicultural Center of the Association "La città del sole. Friends of the Trotter ODV Park"

After graduating in Social Work at another university city, I decided to continue my education with this Graduate degree programme, which represented an experience of personal and professional growth for me. Personal because change is always a challenge, and professional because I have encountered a new working methodology, which has now become my compass. The degree programme gave me the opportunity to meet competent professors who were always available for discussion and dialogue. I was surprised by the many training workshops on various social issues and the internship, apparently a great stumbling block of the degree programme, but an opportunity to come to terms with one's limits, fears, potential and meet people who are passionate about what they do. To this day, I continue to work for the association where I did my internship.
