What is an internship?

The Curricular Internship with ECTS is required by the educational system of the undergraduate degree programme "Agricultural Sciences and Technologies" of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

It consists of an educational and training activity carried out by the student inside an enterprise. It does not constitute work in any way and it is an integral part of the educational process of the programme with the aim of achieving the objectives set out in the study system.

Therefore, it must be approved by the Faculty Tutor before it starts.

There are no particular constraints related to the interruption of the internship period. It is possible to interrupt it at any time, giving written reasons as long as the minimum duration of the internship to obtain training credits is respected.

The participation allowance for the curricular internship is at the discretion of the host company, which is not obliged to pay it.

There are several ways to find a host, including:

  • After filling out and submitting the internship application, you can be contacted for any open positions in the field of your interest;
  • With the support of your university tutor or internship tutor;
  • By sending spontaneous applications to the companies you are interested in;
  • Browsing the offers published on our Internship & Placement portal, in the "Internship announcements" section;
  • By checking the internship offers you will receive via mailing from the STEP office.

Starting from September 2021, once all the requirements of the internship regulations have been completed and fulfilled, i.e. the internship tutor has collected the internship agenda, the company's evaluation questionnaire and Annex 8 (the teacher's evaluation of the internship report), must be recorded in the same way as the exams, by regularly registering for the exams on the established dates.

  • The recording will not require physical presence, it is only mandatory to register for the roll call within 4 days from the scheduled date;
  • No summons (teams or other) will be sent;
  • The attribution of the ECTS of the internship is displayed in the career.
