The programme at a glance

Cultural heritage management: knowledge to create value

The programme provides students with a basic preparation in the historical, geographical and literary fields, together with the mastery of the tools useful for the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage. It is structured in several profiles:

  • Archaeological
  • Historical and Artistic
  • Theatre, cinema, video and rituals
  • Conservation of historical memories" (for the protection of the archival-book heritage)

Teaching methodology

Frontal teaching is enhanced by seminars organized by the Faculty and by research or visits to places of interest.

And then? Knowing how to enhance an immense cultural heritage

At the end of the cycle of studies, graduates will be able to access organizations – public and private – operating in the field of the protection of cultural heritage or the organization of cultural events. With different possible tasks: archive or art gallery assistant; consultant at Superintendencies or museums; operator in the field of archaeology; tour guide or tour leader; appraiser of works of art and ancient books.

 

Presentation

The undergraduate programme in Cultural Heritage initiates and develops the training of professionals able to operate in the field of knowledge, protection, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage, with particular reference to the world of art, archaeology, historical memories, theater and entertainment. The horizon of interests extends from the traditional to the contemporary, initiating specific paths on the different sectors of cultural heritage and enhancing the relative interactions of method and content.
