The Social Worker is a central figure in the fight against situations of social hardship. He works as an employee in public bodies (local authorities, hospitals, social and health companies) or in non-profit organizations (social cooperatives, foundations, associations) or as a freelancer.
The social worker builds paths of help with individuals, families, groups and communities who experience problems related to poverty, marginalization, neglect or maltreatment of minors, disability, non-self-sufficiency, criminal measures, mental health disorders, drug addiction and other pathological addictions.
