The programme at a glance

A perspective that puts the individual at the center

With a study plan that can be adapted to the student's interests, the programme takes on a very broad perspective: pedagogical, psychological, philosophical, sociological and legal disciplines are combined in cutting-edge professional training. Specifically, the student will be able to direct himself in three different directions: education in Services to the Person, education for children, and adult education.

Teaching methodology

The programme combines lectures with various workshop activities, to which is added the experience of the training internship both in the second and third year: a backbone of the proposed itinerary that allows you to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a professional context.

And then? A professional at the service of the person

Depending on the approach given to the study programme, graduates may play the role of:

Educators in socio-educational services run by the public sector or social cooperatives
Pedagogical animators or consultants in the field of childcare services (crèches, playrooms, care centres)
Trainer, classroom and on-line tutor, training designer in companies

Presentation

The Degree Programme in Sciences of Education and Training Processes reaps the fruits of a great school of reflection and intervention in early childhood education and Services to the Person, an area in which it is possible to carve out cultural and professional paths in accordance with one's needs.

Alongside these, the programme has also developed a more recent strand for business and service trainers, designers of face-to-face and distance learning,  and consultants for organisations.

These three strands are intertwined within a single curriculum that the student can decline in relation to his or her study interests through a careful choice of the teachings of his or her study plan.

This is a path suitable for those who want to get involved, acquiring wide-ranging knowledge and putting passion and motivation in place: elements that allow, once graduated, to also embark on careers as professionals, consultants and self-employed workers.

After the undergraduate degree, the Graduate Degree in Educational Design In Child and Youth Services is active at the Piacenza campus, which aims to offer specific skills in the field of educational work with children and adolescents.
