The establishment of the Fund intends first of all to make more structured, and adapted to the current dramatic needs, the considerable effort already made by our University in recent years in favor of all students who, as a result of the most recent emergencies, first the pandemic and now the conflict in Ukraine, would not have had the opportunity to continue their university career.

Although a non-state university, Cattolica has always strived to ensure wide accessibility to studies and in recent years we have repeatedly made up for the insufficiency of public resources for the right to study with the University's own funds, ensuring that all those who should have benefited from scholarships have the opportunity to continue their university studies.

In keeping with this vocation, the Agostino Gemelli Fund was created in 2020 to support students during the COVID-19 emergency, to support those who were hardest hit by the crisis in supporting enrolment fees at our University.

The commitment to society continues today with projects to support the Ukrainian population, making the most of the multidisciplinary expertise of our university.
