The programme at a glance

The programme provides a multidisciplinary approach: the basic teachings of the chemical-physical area are accompanied by the desire to provide technical and managerial skills. Following a common first year, two different profiles are developed: "Agricultural Science and Technology" and "Viticulture and Oenology".

In addition to ensuring a solid theoretical preparation, the Faculty allows students to conduct research and come into contact with operators in the agricultural sector.

The undergraduate degree allows you to practice the freelance profession of Junior Agronomist and Oenologist, but it also trains figures who can work within farms, agri-food industries, consortia and cooperatives, agricultural credit institutions. With a common mission: to build an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable agricultural system.

Agricultural Sciences and Technologies

Studying Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at our campus in Piacenza means becoming technicians who can manage and solve problems related to the management of agricultural systems, based on strong knowledge of the principles and methods and adequate technical knowledge in the fields of plant and animal production.

The progress of the sector requires the training of culturally and technically qualified personnel, capable of managing, through the most modern technologies, an agriculture that produces safe food for the consumer, maintains the productivity of soils and animals and the profitability of agricultural enterprises, while respecting the environment.

The aim of this programme is to train a professional:

1) with adequate technical knowledge in the field of plant and animal production

2) who, using the most modern technologies, will be able to manage a sector of agriculture that:

- respects the environment

- produces food that is safe for consumers

- maintains the productivity of land and animals and the profitability of farms.
