The aim of the programme is to train rehabilitation health professionals who, on the doctor's prescription, treat motor and sensory disorders of vision and carry out ophthalmological instrumental semeiology techniques, in accordance with current regulations.
The didactic objective of the programme is to teach the student the basics for the understanding of biological and pathological phenomena and the principles of pathophysiology necessary to acquire the skills necessary to carry out orthoptic rehabilitation treatment activities in disorders of ocular motility and binocular vision, re-education of visual function handicaps and to be able to perform ophthalmological instrumental semeiology techniques.

At the end of the programme, the student will be able to critically interpret (also in the light of the scientific literature in the field) the data relating to the knowledge and skills acquired, as well as be able to communicate with clarity and scientific correctness with both colleagues and patients. They will also have developed autonomous learning skills that allow both continuous professional updating and the continuation of studies at more advanced levels, as well as inclusion in research programs related to specific fields of expertise.
