What is an internship?
The internship with ECTS, a compulsory teaching activity linked to courses and workshops, aims at the acquisition and development of peculiar professional skills, through the direct and reflective participation of the student in concrete work situations. In particular, it aims to provide students with skills in the areas of observation, design, management and evaluation of relationships. The internship represents, therefore, a key to access the world of work with which the student can experience the notions learned in the field.

The internship is to be considered as a unitary and progressive path, which develops in the 3rd year of the programme, for a total of 125 hours, equal to 5 university credits (ECTS).
It proposes to the student the following general objectives:
- get to know first-hand the professional figures in the field of exercise and sport sciences;
- understand different professional contexts;
- orient themselves towards the choice of the institution in which to carry out the internship experience;
- carry out direct experience within companies with relevance to exercise and sport sciences;
- Evaluate your internship experience and the professional skills you have acquired.
The initial direct and participatory observation of real work contexts, followed by the experience within the structures, constitutes a gradual integration into the world of work for each student, as it allows him to form a dense network of acquaintances in the area and to establish a series of contacts that, after graduation, will facilitate him in the search and choice of a job./dam/unicatt/it/corsi/sc-formazione/scienze-
Attendance at the internship is compulsory and is distributed over the end of the second year and during the third academic year for a total of 125 hours, including activities within the University and others at institutions and companies affiliated with the Università Cattolica of Milan.
