The integrated five-year/six-year degree in Medicine and Surgery is directly qualifying for the practice of the profession of physician-surgeon.
The doctor, after registration in the Professional Register of the Provincial Order of Surgeons and Dentists, will be able to work in public, private hospitals accredited by the NHS or private, at the IRCCS and at the territorial structures of the ASL (clinics, clinics, hospices, RSA, SerT, SerD, centers for the disabled, long-term care, psychiatric facilities, etc.). You will also be able to work as a General Practitioner or carry out the profession independently.
To access the roles of the NHS, the possession of the Specialization is required, which is obtained through the attendance of the courses of the Schools of Specialization in Medicine, which is accessed by passing the single national competition, announced annually by the M.U.R.
In order to be included in the rankings of General Practitioners, the completion of the three-year programme of specific training in General Medicine is required, which can be accessed by passing the competitions announced annually by the Regions.
